Secretaries across Japan have listed their top recommendations for this year
Kodoani.com – Looking for a new manga to pick up this year? Well, bookstore staff all over Japan recommend RuriDragon by Masaoki Shindo is the top manga you should read this year. Earlier today, Nippon Shuppan Hanbai, a publishing company in Japan, released the results of their annual survey asking people who work in bookstores which manga they would recommend to people.
Employees were asked which manga they would “recommend to many people” or which they “like everyone read” that were released in the past year or so and with only five or fewer volumes released. The survey put out by the employees was included in the top 15 list, which can be viewed below:

To celebrate first place, Masaoki Shindo drew a special illustration.
In addition to the bookstore employees who were selling books on site, the survey was also sent to publisher editors and salespeople, who were then compiled into the top five manga they would recommend.

As with Shindo, Jinushi also painted a celebratory picture.

Both illustrations will be released in bookstores across Japan with each manga purchase as part of a special “store fair” to celebrate the winning series as well as give people a chance to win. Trial of the series through a QR code installed at every participating store.
