Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi has released many original postcard illustrations, all featuring beautiful classic manga-style artwork.
The Beautiful Guardian Sailor Moon Museum has introduced Takeuchi’s new artwork for its exhibition in Fukuoka. The postcard set features four original illustrations, including the characters Usagi Tsukino, Chibiusa Tsukino (in her Black Lady form) and Mamoru Chiba. The postcards also have a special effect, creating auroras of different colors when light shines on them. New images from the exhibition can be viewed below.

Sailor Moon is bringing it to life with themed manhole covers featuring official artwork from the hit series, in beautiful classic manga style.
The Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Museum first opened in Tokyo in July 2023 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Sailor Moon manga. The exhibition is open until December before a decision is made to organize a museum tour throughout Japan. Starting from Fukouka, the museum will then travel to Osaka and Aichi.

A viral anime clip edits out Sailor Moon’s accidentally iconic pink color and shows what the classic anime series originally looked like.
The newest Sailor Moon anime series, Sailor Moon Crystal, streams on both Crunchyroll and Netflix. The following describes the series: “Middle school student Usagi Tsukino and her friends learn that they have the power to transform into Sailor Guardians, protecting the world from darkness.” Netflix has also acquired the rights to both sequel films, Sailor Moon Eternal and 2023’s Sailor Moon Cosmos. The first is available now and is described: “When a dark force covers the post-helicopter Earth completely destroyed, the scattered Guardian Sailors must reunite to bring light back to the world.” However, the second season does not have a confirmed release date as of February 7, 2024.
