Manga adaptation of Biyori Harunohi's original story launches in 2022
Kodoani.com – The June issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine revealed on Thursday that the manga Akuma Koujo (The Devil Princess) by Satoshi Shiki, adapted from the original story by Biyori Harunohi, will end in the magazine's next issue on May 24.
The manga revolves around a demon girl who dreams of a world filled with light in a modern world with schools, trains, buses, friends, family, movies and books. At the end of the dream, she found herself in a white room, before being engulfed by darkness and waking up again. She longed for that world of light so much that when a summoning circle appeared before her, she entered it and awakened in the body of a baby in a divine realm.
Shiki launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Sirius magazine in May 2022. Kodansha published the manga's first volume in January 2023, and the third and final volume will be published on August 7.
Harunohi posted the original story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2015, followed by a sequel that began in 2016 and ended in 2019. Kodansha released the first volume of the sequel novels with illustrations by Geso Umiu in June 2022. The fourth volume will be released in June 2022, on May 31.
