Summary of Shinobi no Ittoki episode 3
After being selected to Kokuten Ninja Academy, Ittoki said goodbye to his friends at the school first, promising to keep in touch with them. However, he knew that the circumstances he was in would be highly unlikely. Ittoki’s first day at Kokuten Ninja Academy finally arrived and he naturally felt nervous. Tokisada drops him off at a station where the typical protagonist and Kousetsu board a train that takes them to the academy.
Ittoki soon meets a student like him, who introduces himself as Ryoko. While Kousetsu seemed to feel that the whole befriending exercise was futile and immature, Ittoki actually seemed a bit comfortable knowing someone at Kokuten. Later that day, he meets another girl named Kirei, who is surprised that he is from the Iga clan. She warns them not to tick the Koga elite there if he plans to survive.
Ittoki visits the cafe with her, where he learns that Koga has much better food than the others. As she was explaining to him again to keep away from the Koga students, Ittoki continued to stare at some of the elite students while they were eating. One of them noticed this and immediately confronted him. However, Suzaku warns him that if he is a true ninja, he will control his emotions.
However, when finally confronted with Ittoki, Suzaku warns that the Iga clan will be dealt with for their part in the murder of the Koga patriarch, Kishinmaru. Since Ittoki had never heard of this before, he couldn’t help but continue to worry if the people of his clan were indeed involved in such a heinous act. When they were in the dorm later that day, Kousetsu encouraged him by asking him to channel his energy into practice instead of focusing on things he really couldn’t control.
Episode 3 of Shinobi no Ittoki: Will Ittoki complete the Ninja suit and main exercise?
On his first day, Ittoki and his classmates got hands-on experience in using Ninja Suits and Ninja cores. Students were told that the principles they had learned in middle school still had a lot of value. So everyone activates their suits as soon as they are instructed after finishing the calibration. In the exercise, the students are tasked with reaching the roof of a distant tower where the principal is eating Manju supplies. They have to pick one and get back to the starting point before it’s too late.
As soon as the students got the green signal, everyone started to act and appeared very comfortable in their clothes. Meanwhile, Ittoki complains that he can’t even move from his place of residence. When the teacher noticed that he didn’t even know the basics, she warned that he would be expelled on the spot if he didn’t move. Fortunately, Ryoko has realized that Ittoki desperately needs help and unlike the others, she decides to stay and offers to help him. She calibrates his outfit and explains to him the importance of the Ninja core without which the suit is literally useless.
Ryoko’s explanation helped Ittoki a lot, who soon was able to jump and run like the other students. Unfortunately, at this point, Suzaku reached the tower and was the first to collect his Manju, followed by Kousetsu. While he was only halfway to the tower, he saw Suzaku running towards him, who was trying to attack. Fortunately, Kousetsu is always there to protect Ittoki and save him. Ittoki continued to put all his heart into the exercise but he suddenly noticed a broken ninja core on the ground.
It turns out that some Koga elite have stolen Manju from others and the core part actually belongs to Kirei, one of their victims. Despite being behind the others, Ittoki decided to confront some of the students who were doing this and managed to get Kirei’s Manju after having a small scuffle with one of them. The principal intervened fortunately before things spiraled out of control, then everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, Ittoki was unable to protect his Manju and did not complete the exercises. However, the principal was quite impressed with his efforts.
