The 15-year-long manga tells the story of a young man’s search for the four evil gods who hold the key to the kingdom’s downfall
Kodoani.com – Manga “Haigakura” author Shinobu Takayama is currently adapting a television anime project scheduled to premiere next year. Even author Takayama has shown his excitement for this anime by drawing a special teaser for the project.
“The story of Haigakura takes place in a remote world where both gods and humans live together. The main character is a young man named Ichiyō, who sets out on a journey to capture the gods who have run away. With the help of his subordinate god Tenkō, Ichiyō tries to find the four evil gods who hold the key to the kingdom’s downfall,” which is what Haigakura story brings.
Shinobu Takayama has been writing and illustrating the manga in Ichijinsha’s Zero-Sum Ward magazine since 2008. After the magazine’s discontinuation in 2015, the Haigakura manga continued to be published on the Zero-Sum online service. Online, and it became one of Takayama’s longest runs. Currently, 16 volumes of the manga have been published, and the total number of copies distributed in print has surpassed 1.3 million copies (including digital copies).
