Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has officially ended its first major manga series of 2025, six years after the manga first launched. Hitsuji Gondaira's Mission: Yozakura Family first appeared in the pages of the action magazine in 2019 and is one of the few series from the 2010s still running in the magazine this year.
But now, that all changes as Shonen Jump returns with its first new issue in 2025, bringing to an end one of its longest-running series, with the release of its latest chapter.
Shonen Jump went through quite a few changes when two of their biggest action series ended last year. Now these changes are continuing with another series coming to an end. Mission: Yozakura Family will stop at chapter 258. This final chapter took all the characters into the future, with one of the happiest endings in years.
How does Mission: Yozakura Family end?
Mission: Yozakura Family is already in the middle of the manga's final arc in 2024, and even began the final battle last spring. As seen in the battle with Asa, each member of the Yozakura Family has prepared to evolve their Blooming into the strongest transformations possible.
The series has been updating fans throughout the last year on how the manga is speeding up these final battles, which ultimately end with the Yozakura Family winning an overwhelming victory over Asa. Although Taiyo wanted to sacrifice himself, he was saved by Kyoichiro before it was too late.
After the battle ends, the final chapters of the series see Taiyo and Mutsumi officially marry after all their troubles are over. Also in the final chapter, Yozakura Family returned to a family life full of antics and espionage. But this time it's a little different as they all discover that Mutsumi is pregnant with her and Taiyo's third child, and the Yozakura clan's quest continues into the future.
The end of Mission: Yozakura Family is an important milestone for fans. And this is also an opportunity for them to look back and appreciate the beautiful moments that the series has brought.
