Kodoani.com – This year’s 19th issue of Kodansha’s Morning magazine published the conclusion of the fourth season of the series. Shōwa no Gurazeni, manga spinoff Gurazeni Dai League-hen (Gurazeni Big League Arc) on Thursday. The manga will continue with a fifth part at the end of July.
The magazine also revealed that Gurazeni Dai League-hen will continue in the 21st issue of the magazine on April 20.
Shōwa no Gurazeni launches in Morning magazine in October 2020. The first season ends in December 2021 to make way for Gurazeni Dai League-hen, Gurazeni’s latest story. The second season of the manga runs from March to April 2022. The third season runs from August 2022 to October 2022, and the fourth opens in February.
Moritaka and Adachi’s Gurazeni baseball manga centers on a baseball team that operates as a highly stratified society where a player’s performance determines his annual salary. The story follows an 8-year relief pitcher with a backhand pitch named Natsunosuke Bonda as he fights to survive under the team’s strict system.
Writer Moritaka and artist Adachi began publishing the original series in 2010. The original series ended in 2014 with 17 volumes, but the creators released a manga sequel Gurazeni: Tokyo Dome-hen same year. Tokyo Dome-hen ended in February 2018 and a new series titled Gurazeni : Pa League-hen came out in March 2018. Pa League-hen ended in volume. 13th, shipped in October 2021.
The original manga inspired two television anime series, which premiered in April 2018 and October 2018.
The manga also adapted Yōsuke Uzumaki’s Gurazeni: Natsunosuke no Seishun (Gurazeni: Natsunosuke’s Youth) spinoff manga, which launched in Kodansha’s Evening magazine in March 2020 and ended on November 8.
