Kodoani.com – Official site for mobile RPGs Sin Chronicle of Sega announced on Tuesday that the game will end its service on May 31 at 11:30 a.m. JST.
The game no longer sells gems, but the game will continue to add new content until the service ends, including the first anniversary story event, the co-op story, and a new main story chapter. Game refunds will begin on May 31.
The game was first announced for release in December 2021, but the game was released in March 2022. The game is the successor to Sega’s Chain Chronicle smart mobile game.
The game has a story independent of Chain Chronicle. Player choices, including those in the party, influence the game’s story. Each chapter of the game has a climactic selection and the player cannot replay the decisions. Each chapter is about 10 hours long.
The smart mobile game Chain Chronicle was released in 2013 for iOS and Android devices and in 2014 for PlayStation Vita. The game adapted the theatrical and television anime Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari (Chain Chronicle: The Light of Haecceitas).
The anime project has both theatrical and television versions. The theatrical version was split into three films. The three films premiered in Japan from December 2016 to February 2017. A 12-episode television anime version premiered in January 2017. Each of the three anime series has a plot. The story is like four TV episodes.
