Luckily, when Jinwoo found himself wavering and the Knights tried to take him down, the countdown to his daily mission reached zero. His past self stated that luck was also a skill as Jinwoo was once again placed in the penalty zone of the daily quest where he was allowed to use the shop feature again. He quickly started buying medicine to restore his fatigue and health but realized that his health would not improve due to the severity of his injuries. He decided to level up to fully recover, and in the remaining four hours for the punishment mission, he leveled up by killing all the giant centipede monsters. He also used the Runestone from Igris to gain the Ruler's Hand skill and bought a new dagger from the shop called Knight Killer.
After the punishment mission ended and Jinwoo had fully recovered, the Hunter was teleported back to the throne room, where the Knights had increased tenfold. He begins his onslaught against them and realizes that he never levels up while fighting them. This leads him to conclude that these Knights are merely summoned monsters, and that the Mages are the true monsters he must destroy. He quickly found a Mage and used a new skill, Dagger Toss to kill a Mage, causing the Knights summoned by it to shatter.
Realizing he needs to find them all, he uses his Stealth skill. This was immediately countered by the Mages using the Detect skill to create an 'eye' above them. Jinwoo took advantage of this eye to determine their location, counting a total of five Mages. With the telekinetic Ruler's Hand, he made his way through groups of Knights before dispatching each Magus one by one. After defeating two, the remaining three combine their powers and create a giant golem using the remaining Knight monsters summoned in Solo Leveling Episode 12.
Jinwoo expertly used his golem destruction ability to create a path to the Mages, quickly killing them. The Knights are all disbanded and his quest for Change of Work is declared complete. The status window informed him that it would analyze his fighting style and Jinwoo was assigned the job of Necromancer. Initially refusing the job due to his low intelligence stat, he realized that it would be beneficial to become a warrior with an endless army. Due to surviving over four hours and killing all monsters, his job is upgraded from Necromancer to Monarch of Shadows, allowing him to create summoned shadows of defeated enemies. He assigned the word 'Arise' to this skill, and the Dark Knights and Mages awakened to his call. Turning to Knight Commander Igris The Bloodred, he also called out to the slain Red Knight.
However, the Knight Commander rejected his call. Undaunted, Sung Jinwoo called out to him again, telling him to protect Jinwoo instead of the empty throne. Solo Leveling Episode 12 would end when Igris woke up, now one of Jinwoo's shadows.
