Several Sonic Frontiers demo leaks showcase a bunch of new cutscenes and a fight against a boss against an enemy known as Squid.
Sonic Frontiers will launch on November 8 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
More leaks of the Sonic Frontiers demo showcase a bunch of unreleased cutscenes, along with a boss battle known as Squid. With public demos available at industry live events, this allows fans to try out much-anticipated games like this in small pieces. Sonic Frontiers had these demos at GamesCom, Tokyo Game Show, along with EGX London. While no doubt was extinguished with these demos, fans who got a chance to play have expressed a very positive impression, especially with Sonic Frontiers’ gameplay in the open areas. .
However, after the demo at GamesCom, Sega directly banned players from recording Sonic Frontiers footage, due to some players being able to exploit a bug that took them further than they were originally intended. Despite these limitations, leaked gameplay videos of Sonic Frontiers still found their way onto the Internet for fans to watch, with a trailer for cutscenes and a boss battle.
This video was provided by GPF on YouTube, who managed to get footage from the Sonic Frontiers demo at EGX. This compilation of clips shows off some new things, such as the boss battle in Sonic Frontiers. This boss was introduced briefly back in June, where this video reveals its name is called Squid. Players can find it wandering the area, where they can jump on the giant path floating behind it to initiate battle. From there, the player must avoid its fireballs while running, before using a dash attack to stun it and fight it head-on.
The game’s cutscenes were also featured, with Sonic encountering Sage and the giant enemy Titan appearing in many of the trailers. As seen in the TGS trailer revealing Super Sonic, the blue matte screen doesn’t fit it in its current state and was thrown into the mountains for his troubles. Shortly after Sage leaves, Sonic wakes up in a panic, noting that he will need the power of the seven Chaos emeralds if he wants to take on the giant foe.
The final cutscene concerns Amy and her role in Sonic Frontiers, where, according to the video description, happens after first meeting Titan. Amy sends Sonic on a side quest where he plays a quick mini-game to collect Kocos. Once completed, Sonic will perform a very fun and animated dance scene and be given a green Chaos Emerald, with Amy asking him to find more scattered Kocos. Fans immediately noticed the dance scene, praising how lively and dynamic Sonic looked while performing it.
