The first volume was written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. In May 2020 and April 2022, Media Factory’s monthly Comic Alive magazine serialized a manga adaptation with illustrations by Kaname Seu. The manga adaptation has been published in eight main volumes and three volumes of short stories.

At the “Fantasia Bunko Online Festival 2022”, the anime TV series adaptation was announced. Feel is producing the film, which is directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi. Shinichi Inotsume wrote the script, Sumie Kinoshita designed the characters, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa composed the music. The series will be streamed in North America in 2023.

The anime plot revolves around: Now, the art of deception and deception fights wars in a world where weapons are too powerful to wield. In Spy Classroom, Klaus, a spy, teaches a group of seven ragged girls how to become master spies, so they can take on even the toughest jobs. While the manga doesn’t seem very original at first, the colorful characters only get the spying elements to work after reading it a bit.

Spy Classroom anime cast

The series’ cast includes Sora Aramiya (KonoSuba’s Aqua: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, Rent-a-Girlfriend’s Ichinose Chizuru) as Lily, and Miku Ito as Grete. Others such as Yuichiri Umehara (Anos Voldigoad from The Misfit of Demon King Academy /Weather Report from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean) and Nao Toyama (Elf from Goblin Slayer /Rin Shima from Zaid-Back Camp) will voice the characters. Klaus and Sibylla animals.

Aoi Yuki (Mami Nanami from Rent-a-Girlfriend/Diane from Seven Deadly Sins) and Sumire Uesake (Nagatoro Hayase from Don’t Toy with Me Miss Nagatoro /Lum from Urusei Yatsura 2022) are also joining the cast as Monika and Thea. Last but not least, Ayane Sakura (My Hero Academy’s Uraraka Ochaco / Attack on Titan’s Gabi Braun) and Tomori Kusunoki (Chainsaw Man’s Makima / The Misfit of Demon King Academy’s Misha Necron) will also be joining the cast. as Sara and Annett.
