Summarize
The war between Edmond and Vinchen continues. Edmond had underestimated Vinchen’s strength, but had clearly begun to realize the intensity of his blows. Many undead were destroyed by him, and his comrades were just as impressed if not more so by the Vichen Prince’s abilities.
After Vinchen kills one of the last undead, Edmond is shocked to learn that his seventh-ranked warrior is now dead. Vinchen approached him and told him to surrender quietly, otherwise the consequences of reacting would not really be in his favor.
Edmond couldn’t help but get angry. He was always against the Adenca family, saying they were always arrogant. He has spent the past twenty years trying to bring chaos to the people of Ardenca, but is now destroyed by the Ardenca member he despises the most.
Unable to control his anger, Edmond caused an earthquake in the entire city of Mielthium. Others became wary of his behavior and the shaking of the city. Edmond decided that if he couldn’t follow through with his original plan then he would destroy everyone along with him.
At that moment, a mysterious man appeared. Edmond knew who he was and immediately stopped everything he was doing. The man taunted him that it was disgraceful to resort to such sabotage and threatened to strip him of his position as strategist.
Vinchen notices the Lich’s core in his hand while Edmond begs the stranger for forgiveness. He told him it wouldn’t happen again but the man showed no mercy and immediately crushed the core, killing Edmond. He screamed in pain and said he didn’t want to die, then disappeared into thin air.
While the rest are confused as to what is going on, Vinchen realizes that Edmond is just a pawn for this stranger. Serkun asked the man why he was here, meaning they knew each other before. The man introduced was Daimar Helraim, head of the Helraim family.
The reveal of Daimar’s identity immediately connects the dots, making him Vinchen’s uncle. Daimar brought Helraim’s warriors with him. Vinchen now knew that Helraim was behind all this destruction. Daimar simply told him to back off because he was aware of the situation.
Vinchen can’t stand Daimar as he says that whatever is happening is natural, as he witnessed the father of a two year old child almost being sacrificed due to false accusations wrong. Daimar told him to quietly forget everything that had happened and in return he would spare their lives.
However, Vinchen has no intention of backing down. He reveals that he is now Prince Vinchen Adenca, and also the son of Daimar Helraim. The chapter ends with Vinchen calling his mother, who was a witness to his words.
