Since its introduction, GTA 6 has become one of the most anticipated blockbusters in history.
Although it is planned to launch in 2024, along with the first trailer, there are still many sources that believe that GTA 6 will be difficult to launch on schedule. In the worst case, this game could be delayed for 1-2 years, depending on the developer's progress. And if so, GTA 6 will have more reason to hesitate.
Specifically, recently, a game also labeled AAA was suddenly announced and promises the potential to become the biggest rival for GTA 6.
The game is called Minds Eye. Notably, Minds Eye was created by developer Build A Rocket Boy and its leader is Benzies – former president of Rockstar Games and former GTA team leader. Benzies previously sued his former company for unpaid copyrights worth $150 million, but the two later ended the litigation with a confidential settlement. And now, GTA 6's rival, Minds Eye will be the first time Benzies will be pitted against their former colleagues.
Based on some early sources, Minds Eye is also a single-player, action-adventure, story-based game also set in America. The game also features high-speed driving, explosive combat, and countless exciting missions. More worth mentioning, the images of Mind Eyes also have many similarities with past GTA series. Of course, with Benzies' excellent resume when he ran the Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3 and LA Noire series, gamers have reason to expect this Minds Eye blockbuster.
Also labeled AAA, with the same setting, playing style and similar images, it would not be an exaggeration to say that Minds Eye can completely become a rival of GTA 6 in the future. It is unknown when the game will be released or what the investment cost will be, but it is certainly unlikely to reach billions of dollars like the current rumors about GTA 6.
