Kodoani.com – A website that opened on Thursday to announce anime Maebashi Witches Produced by Sunrise, it is scheduled to premiere in April 2025.
The anime revolves around the story of five high school girls, selected to become apprentice witches, and their journey of adulthood in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture. The main characters and cast have been revealed:
Sakura Kasuga in the role Yuina Akagia freshman high school student who loves cameras and taking “emotional” photos.
Hinano Sakikawa in the role Azu Niisatoa girl passionate about fashion and cosmetics.
Rena Motomura in the role Kyoka Kitaharacomes from a wealthy family and studied at the province's top high school.
Minami Haruka in the role Choco Mitsumataa cheerful girl, always brings a positive atmosphere.
Honami Momose in the role Mai Kamiizumia practical girl, but overly conscious of what others think of her.
Tomokazu Sugita in the role Keroppea mysterious spirit selects five girls to become apprentice witches.
The story begins when Yuina Akagia girl who feels her normal life is boring, is Keroppe – a mysterious spirit in the form of a frog – recruited. She and four other girls were transported to a mysterious space through a closet in the room. Here, they discover a magical flower shop, where they sing, dance, and make other people's dreams come true, while learning how to grow up.
Sunrise is the original producer. Junichi Yamamoto will take on the role of director, with Erika Yoshida is in charge of the series' scripts. Original character designs were done by Inami Yustill Nozomi Tachibana will be taking on character design in the anime.

The anime's opening theme song is “Sugosugi Maebashi Witches!”, written by Tsunkuand music composed by TORIENA. The song will be performed by the five main characters, who are collectively known as the “Maebashi Witches.”
