Starting from the second leg of the LCK Spring 2023, T1 will have a special change in personnel to better suit Riot’s international tournament regulations.
According to the latest regulations of Riot Games, professional teams will have to have at least 6 players in the squad, including 5 regular players and 1 reserve player. Therefore, in accordance with the regulations, T1 has decided to change the role of coach Sky to the position of a player in the second leg of the LCK Spring 2023.

Coach Sky moves to the player position in the second leg of the LCK Spring 2023
Specifically, the name Sky will be renamed to Skyyy. Also today, T1 also made an official announcement about coach Skyyy’s case for fans to know.
“Hi guys, I’m Becker, general manager of the League of Legends T1 team. We would like to inform you about the personnel change in the second leg of the LCK Spring 2023.
From phase 2, “Sky” Kim Ha-neul, a member of the coaching staff, will be registered as a team player. According to the rules applied at Riot Games’ international tournaments (like Worlds or MSI), teams must have at least one substitute player in their roster. We’ve confirmed that players must be officially contracted as players and play at least one game in a regional league.”
In the past in the LCK, the T1 roster consisted of 5 players and 4 coaches, but did not register as a substitute. 9 members have been working hard to practice every day with the goal of becoming the world No. 1 and the desire to stand together in international tournaments.
With the consent and agreement of Head Coach Bengi and Coach Sky himself, we will register Sky as a substitute starting from the second leg. This is the deadline for T1 to have the right to attend MSI if we qualify. The official Sky game name will be Skyyy to meet the requirements of the lolesports Competition Name policy”.

Summarizing the first leg of the LCK Spring 2023, currently T1 is still leading the rankings with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss after 8 matches. In the first 2 matches of the second leg, Faker and his teammates will face 2 teams chasing behind him, Gen.G and Liiv Sandbox.
