Kodoani.com – Bandai Namco Entertainment shocked the world on Friday with the announcement of adding the first DLC character, Eddy Gordo, to the game Tekken 8 is scheduled to launch on April 4. The company kicked off the event to introduce this character, defeating a series of gamers with an impressive return.
Eddy Gordo, making his debut in Tekken 3, will be available starting April 1 for those who have purchased the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game. Tekken 8 officially launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on January 26, with 32 characters at launch, and passed the 2 million mark worldwide in February.
Tekken 8's story takes place nearly six years after the events of Tekken 7, and leads the Tekken franchise into the Guinness World Records for the longest story in video game history.
The game opened a Tekken store with additional free and paid content after launch, adding DLC characters' stories in story mode. The third update will add Tekken World Tour in April, with one to two updates per month, and the UNIQLO UT x Tekken pack as the first free content. A story mode for additional characters will be added over the summer, giving players a better understanding of the role these characters play in the game's main story.
Besides, the anime series Tekken: Bloodline continues the story from Tekken 3, which debuted on Netflix in August 2022, bringing fans a fascinating new experience.
