Tencent announced its eSports plans for its major titles at Tencent Esports Summit 2022 to be held in China.
The heads of various departments at Tencent made the announcements during the nearly two-hour summit. The partnership and new tournaments in Wild Rift announced at Tencent Esports Summit 2022 are highlighted.
Wild Rift has created a sustainable e-sports ecosystem in China. The Wild Rift League (WRL) and the Wild Rift Tour (WRT) have built a complete tournament system by introducing promotion and relegation tournaments.
In the second half of 2022, eSports Wild Rift aligns with and accelerates its strategy of hosting an independent mobile eSports event, taking new approaches to the WRL entertainment experience, and opening Expand and expand event collaboration resources on a larger scale.

Tencent also officially announced a new tournament called the Ionian Cup that will be held in September. The new season of the Wild Rift League (WRL) will start in October. In addition to e-sports events, WRL will coordinate partnered with OnePlus to launch the event to create a green event culture around the ecosystem.
Tencent also announced the establishment of the first official WRL player training camp and the launch of professional-quality fitness programs for professional players. By adjusting player culture, Tencent plans to establish good values and a healthy e-sports ecosystem.
An announcement of a partnership with Coca-Cola was also made at the conference. On 12th September this year, Coca-Cola and Wild Rift will launch a co-branded hero mini can in China.
More tournaments will come to Peacekeeper Elite. Tencent has announced a new series of tournaments for Peacekeeper Elite, the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile. Tencent gave out new updates regarding the Peace Elite League at the conference. A remote broadcasting system was introduced for the tournament in 2023.

New leagues including National League, Streamer Championship, College Championship, All-Gamer Championship, City Championship, etc. were also introduced at the conference. The conference also showed a look at PSI and PMGC. PSI’s hot battles will begin in September, while PMGC will return from November to January next year.
The main announcements made at Tencent Esports Summit 2022 related to Arena Breakout. Tencent recently announced the release of Arena Breakout – the FPS shooter. But the company shared some eSports-related plans in China at the conference. Tencent announced the Arena Breakout Pioneer series with a grand prize pool of $150,000.
The tournament will consist of three qualifying events with an offline finale event. The first tournament is taking place that is expected by the players in the future.
