Tesla’s library of car games will be richer than ever.
The Tesla electric car can be considered as a walking computer, when it can both carry people and provide many forms of entertainment such as watching movies or listening to music.
Newer versions also allow owners to play games for entertainment in case of traffic jams or waiting for charging. On the Tesla car’s library, there are pre-installed some classic games such as chess, card games or more modern games like 2048, or even Cuphead, Stardew Valley.
As a gamer himself, Tesla CEO Elon Musk wants his electric car to do more. In the latest Twitter post, Elon Musk updated the cooperation progress between Tesla and the world’s largest online game selling platform:
“We’ve made progress on Steam integration. Maybe next month there will be a demo.”
Previously, Elon Musk promised to bring two blockbuster titles of CD Projekt RED, The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, on the latest Model S and Model X cars. Owning a Ryzen chip and AMD RDNA 2 GPU, modern electric cars can load games that require strong configuration. But so far Elon Musk has broken his promise, Cyberpunk and Witcher have not yet appeared on Tesla cars.
Perhaps the “developments” mentioned by Musk will help Tesla car owners soon enjoy the super products of the electronic entertainment industry. There was a time when Tesla allowed users to play games on the go, but feedback from users and organizations has made Tesla rethink. Currently, Tesla users can only play the game while the car is parked.
