Urgot's rise in TFT season 13
After version 13.3 was released, the meta of TFT season 13 is shifting a lot towards the “Fast 9” style of play and taking advantage of the value of 5-money and even 6-money units. The reason comes from the fact that a series of races – systems with high activation milestones are increased in power and requires players to have high levels to take full advantage of this. That change accidentally created conditions for some rerolled plays (but not previously nerfed) like Urgot – Artillery to emerge as it can create great pressure in the mid-game and make “Fast 9” squads It is difficult to deploy a comfortable squad.
Furthermore, Urgot and Tristana themselves have both received many damage increases from previous versions. Combined with unusual upgrades that increase resistance, Urgot will become a true “tank” with huge damage and excellent resistance. This is considered a “hard” counter to the “Fast 9” playstyle when the 5-money carry usually does not have enough damage at the 1-star level to finish off Urgot.
Building the Urgot – Artillery squad in TFT season 13
In the early stages of the match, players should aim for strong 1-money units early like Darius and Draven to maintain health. Combined with a 1-star Urgot unit at level 4, the player can earn a winning streak relatively easily. Furthermore, Draven is also a very good equipment guardian for Tristana, so players can combine Infinity Sword or Guinsoo's Rage Blade early to create a better snowballing position.
At level 6, players will stop buying experience to upgrade Urgot to 3 stars as quickly as possible. In addition, Tristana is also a unit worth investing in when it has the same price and makes good use of the Artillery effect. Players should also add some strong 3-money units such as Nunu, Gangplank and Swain to activate important milestones such as 3 Experiments, 2 Twin Shapes and Iron Cage Fighter to provide maximum support for Urgot.
By the time after level 8, players should aim to complete milestone 4 Artillery with Corki and Ezreal to add damage. In addition, Elise will be a very strong addition to increase the team's resistance and control ability. If you own a lot of gold and Test Seals, players can aim for level 9 and add Warwick to increase their chances of competing for the No. 1 position overall.
Some notes when building a squad
Urgot in this squad usually stands in the front line, so players need to prioritize fighter equipment like Blood Sword and Sterak's Claw. Therefore, players should also choose the Unleash the Beast core to help Urgot gain more control immunity when Sterak's Claw activates. In addition, cores that increase reroll speed or provide Test Seals are also extremely suitable for this squad.
