The film opens in NYC, LA on October 4; wider release in the US, Canada on October 6-7
Kodoani.com – AMC Theaters has listed showings on October 4 of the anime based on the one-shot manga “Look Back” by the author Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw Man). This special screening will feature a live Q&A with the director. Kiyotaka Oshiyama in AMC Burbank 16 in Burbank, California. However, it is unclear whether Oshiyama will attend in person or via video. Other screenings will include a 20-minute interview with Oshiyama and the cast.
GKIDS will release the film in New York and Los Angeles on the day October 4and at many other locations in North America (including Canada) on October 6 and 7.
The film premiered in Japan on June 28ranked second in ticket sales and sold over 1 million ticketsearn more than 1.73 billion yen (approximately $12 million) as of August 23.
Yūmi Kawai and Yoshida Mizuki took on the lead role in the film. Only voice for Fujinoa fourth grader who loves drawing comics, and Yoshida voice for KyomotoFujino's classmate. The anime is Kiyotaka Oshiyama directed and produced by studio Durian.
