The Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Goblin Bride is written by Fuminori Teshima and illustrated by COMTA. Hobby Japan has been publishing the series since 2017 under the HJ Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Hako Itagaki began serialization on Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire website in February 2018 and went on to be nominated in the web category for the 2020 Next Manga Awards .
J-Novel Club licensed the novel and describes the plot as follows: Zagan is feared by the masses as an evil wizard. Both socially awkward and foul-mouthed, he spends his days learning magic while defeating any intruders in his domain. One day, he was invited to participate in a dark auction and what he found there was an elven slave girl of unparalleled beauty, Nephy. Love at first sight, Zagan used his entire fortune to buy her, but being a poor communicator, he didn’t know how to properly interact with her. Thus begins the awkward cohabitation of a sorcerer who doesn’t know how to convey his love and a slave who longs for his master but doesn’t know how to attract him.
