The manga will have a new chapter posted every two weeks. Hoshino shared the announcement from the magazine on his Twitter account.
The magazine introduces the manga with the tagline: “Let us now begin our journey to slay the dragon.” The story takes place in a world inhabited by dragons and begins on a special terrain island called Ryōgokutō. The center of the story is a young executioner named Isagi, who has the ability to see through the memories of those he killed. He meets a famous general named Tatsunami.
Makoto Hoshino launched “The Tale of the Outcasts” manga in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in August 2019. The manga ended in April 2021. The manga’s eighth and final compiled book volume. was published with the seventh volume in May 2021. Hoshino also created a “special series” titled “The Tale of the Outcasts: The Flame Knight,” which was serialized on the Sunday Webry manga website on January.
Manga “The Tale of the Outcasts” was adapted into a television anime series and premiered on January 8.
