The Breadmaker is a simple baking simulator on PC, but is it simply a cooking game?
Do you like bread? If not, just keep watching, and the answer is yes, what do you think if today, we will participate in a home class to make the most delicious loaves of bread for our loved ones? That sounds reasonable, so welcome to the bread making class in The Breadmaker. What? Are you an introvert, so you are afraid to socialize with others? Don’t worry because… instructors aren’t human.
Five Strange Days in Bread Making Class
You’ve just signed up for a cooking course and are eager to know what you’re going to cook today. You go to the classroom but realize no one is there, not even the instructor. At this point, you will remember that this is not an ordinary course but a special program of a television station. They have prepared all the materials and lectures for you. The teacher will guide through the radio, and you just need to follow.
After you’ve put on your apron and are ready for your lesson, a very familiar female voice comes from the radio. She introduces today’s lesson in baking a loaf of bread, and guides you through adding your favorite ingredients to the already prepared dough on the stove. Next, she instructs you to put the dough in the oven and while you wait for the cake to cook you can make another batch of your choice. Meanwhile, she will chat and ask more about your interests, what a lovely teacher.
When the second batch of dough is done, that’s when you find out that the first batch of cakes is burnt due to over-baking. The voice from the radio comforts her and tells her that it’s good that she and you are prepared for this situation. While waiting for the second batch of bread to cook, she tells you to close your eyes and relax while repeating 3 sentences over and over: I am a baker, a baker is me… I am a loaf, a the loaf is me… I am an ingredient, the important ingredient is me… Honestly, I don’t know why she asks you to repeat that statement over and over, maybe to relax?
The relaxing time ended when the cake was baked, it looked as delicious as the product from a famous bakery. Although she’s not sure if the girl on the radio actually saw the cake, she still compliments you on your talent and looks forward to seeing you at the next class. You come home from a tiring but enjoyable day, lay back on the sofa and start watching your favorite shows on TV.
Of course, the “Apple Pie” column hosted by female chef Ambrosia Hayward Pomeroy is your favorite show. At this point, you wonder why the voices on TV and this morning’s class are so similar, but sleep has come so you take a nap and forget about it. The next day, I went to the baking class as scheduled with the lovely teacher. The second and third days don’t change much, except that the kitchen is a bit… gore and you are only taught to make bread. Ingredients that you don’t like when you talk to your instructor will no longer appear in the kitchen, instead there are some ingredients that look very strange.
But don’t worry, the cake you bake will still be delicious as usual and the voice guide will still praise you for being a talented chef. Also in these days, you will find the newspaper reports that Ambrosia’s apple pie has been sold in the supermarket, and there is a controversy about the secret ingredient in the cake. Towards the end of the third day, the TV will broadcast mystery cases, but only halfway through it, the TV will suddenly be interrupted by other programs. At the same time we will also hear Ambrosia’s voice, but in a very monstrous way.
When you check the newspaper on Tuesday, you’ll see news that Ambrosia has signed on to record her voiceovers for broadcasters to feature in her cooking and sell to her fans. . On the fourth day, you arrive to class earlier than usual and see a figure that looks a lot like Ambrosia standing in the kitchen. The screen suddenly appeared “Please wait”, the kitchen became absolutely horrible, and then suddenly everything… was back to normal. The familiar instructor voice was replaced by Ambrosia’s and began to chat about today’s lesson, but suddenly the sound was raspy.
After a while, the voice in the radio goes silent and the program manager says there is a problem with the system so they will turn off the automatic instructions, hope you don’t mind that. When the director started checking the lecture of the course, he seemed very surprised that you only learned to bake bread for the past 4 days and promised to change a new recipe for you tomorrow. After baking today’s batch of cakes, you go home and everything is fine until you receive a phone call from the show’s production team.
They announced that tomorrow’s class would be canceled because of the robot’s failure, but before they could finish speaking, the other end of the line suddenly let out a scream like someone was being attacked. After an eerie silence, Ambrosia’s familiar voice rang out to announce that you could still attend class tomorrow as usual. Well, that’s good, isn’t it? Before you go to bed, you read today’s newspaper and see the news that Ambrosia died in a fire at the Hayward Pomeroy apple pie shop.
On the morning of the fifth day which is also the last day of the course, you come to the classroom and see Ambrosia’s shadow standing in the kitchen, but with a very scary appearance. She had been cut into pieces and then sewn back up, and her mouth was smiling savagely. She says she is the most important ingredient in today’s dish and repeats that you are a baker. The screen will shake violently with many words appearing on it, and then the game will end here.
The story of the bloody cakes
So far this is my brief summary of what happened in a game that looks lovely at first but is actually terrifying. Next, let’s analyze to see what happened to the Ambrosia female chef. During the game, depending on the ingredients you choose to put in the dough, the end result will be cakes of different shapes. At the same time, this choice will also directly affect the content of the articles you read in the evening.
From the information in the newspaper, we can deduce and realize the true story that happened in this game. The first newspaper reported that Ambrosia’s apple pie was mass-produced and sold in supermarkets because of its unique taste. It was mentioned in the newspaper that Ambrosia used a special ingredient known only to her and those closest to her. After Ambrosia became famous and gained many fans, the second newspaper reported that Ambrosia had signed a contract to record her voice for cooking shows to satisfy her fans.
The third newspaper said that many people began to have doubts about the mysterious ingredient that Ambrosia used. Two workers working in a bakery factory also spoke out to verify Ambrosia’s cakes, especially because it contains… at this point the newspaper will be cut off, we don’t know what special ingredients they mentioned. what. Not long after, Wednesday’s newspaper reported that apple pie spokesman Graham Baxter spoke out against malicious rumors about secret ingredients. He insisted that there was not a piece of meat in the cake and asked everyone to stop their attacks because these absurd accusations are causing Ambrosia to collapse.
I know here, many of you will think of Ambrosia putting human flesh in apple pie as a special ingredient. But the traditional apple pie filling usually only has apples, ginger, nuts, obviously no meat. There’s also apple pie, of course, but Graham himself declared: “no meat products in any kind in our pie” meaning “no meat products in our pie”. Come to think of it, unless meat broth is used to mix the dough, it’s very unlikely to eat a cake without realizing it has meat in it.
After a controversy about the secret ingredient in the cake, the fifth newspaper reported that two employees working at the apple pie factory, Poppy Verity and Dill Rhetta, had gone missing. Many employees working in the factory also filed a protest requesting an investigation into the mysterious ingredients put into the cake. The sixth and last newspaper reported that the Hayward Pomeroy bakery was on fire and one person died. According to police verification, the victim had a head wound, indicating that someone had hit the victim’s head to prevent him from escaping the fire.
The identity of the victim has not been determined, but Graham Baxter used the name of Ambrosia spokesman to declare the victim as her and say it was an accident that no one wanted. At this point, we see that there is a high probability that Ambrosia’s killer is Graham Baxter, because while the police have not yet identified the identity, he already knows who the victim is. Also, imagine a store fire like a cake in the oven. We will understand why Ambrosia’s spirit always says she is a main ingredient in the cake and the main character is the baker, implying that she was burned alive by someone in her shop.
Finally, through the news in the newspaper, I temporarily hypothesized that the story takes place in the game as follows. First Ambrosia Hayward Pomeroy opened a small apple pie shop in town, which soon became famous for its distinctive flavored apple pie. Ambrosia was invited to appear on television and later had her own column of baking tutorials. As business grew, Ambrosia began a partnership with Graham Baxter to open an industrial apple pie factory. At the same time because of her graceful appearance and pleasant voice, Ambrosia also owns a large number of fans. So in addition to her main business, she also signed a voice recording contract to sell to producers to make cooking videos.
Many people began to envy Ambrosia’s success, so they spread bad rumors about her apple pie. For example, it is said that Ambrosia’s apple pie is so delicious because it has mixed … human flesh inside. Even to make people believe it was true, they put their hands and feet in the factory as workers to make the story more convincing. Rumors seriously hurt Ambrosia, she suffered a psychological crisis and extreme stress. Then, perhaps because she accidentally learned about the other two employees harming her, Ambrosia killed them both in a fit of rage. This work was discovered by Graham Baxter, the two had a fierce argument at the bakery.
In a fit of rage, Graham hit Ambrosia in the head, knocking Ambrosia unconscious. Because he did not check carefully, Graham believed that he had killed the person. So he decided to set fire to the store and set it on fire to stage Ambrosia’s death as an accident. Angered by the murder as well as resentful of the rumors of the murder of the baker, Ambrosia’s spirit entered the tapes containing her voice. That includes voiceovers recorded into the automated system of a television cooking course. This voice will haunt everyone who hears it and kill them, the main character is actually an unlucky ghost when killed by the idol’s spirit.
And that’s what could have happened in The Breadmaker, note this is just a hypothesis based on my personal perspective so it may or may not be correct. Hello and see you in the future for more horror cooking lessons. And now goodbye.
