Kodoani.com – Japanese pop rock band wacci, consisting of 5 members, posted the music video for their 12th single song “Ai wa Kusuri” (Love is Medicine) on their official YouTube channel. This pop tune is currently being used as the ending theme for the anime’s second season The Apothecary Diaries.
The band wacci was formed in 2009 and officially debuted in 2012. Previously, the group sang the main songs for works such as Your Lie in April (2014) and Backflip! (2021). Ahead of the CD release on February 21, the tune was available digitally.
The Apothecary Diaries anime premiered in Japan on October 22, 2023 and simultaneously aired on Crunchyroll for a global audience.
The story is about Maomao, a girl who lived a peaceful life with her apothecary father, but was later sold as a lowly servant to the emperor’s palace. Her life changes when she decides to treat sick royal heirs, making a name for herself in the world of medicine.
