Anime streaming service Crunchyroll has revealed a new trailer for the upcoming English dub of Solo Leveling, along with details about the upcoming release.
On its official YouTube channel, Crunchyroll is giving fans of the popular manga a first look at the upcoming English dub of Solo Leveling. Featuring ADR directed by Caitlin Glass (Ranking of Kings; takt op. Destiny), the English dub of Solo Leveling is voiced by Aleks Le (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as the former low-level hunter turned high-level player Sung Jinwoo. Justin Briner (My Hero Academia) joins the cast as wealthy companion Yoo Jinho, alongside Rebecca Wang (Aether Gazer) as Jin-woo’s hard-working sister, Sung Jin-ah. The English dub episode 1 of Solo Leveling is expected to release on Saturday, January 20, at 1 p.m. PST, exclusively on Crunchyroll. The series is ongoing and currently streaming on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.

Based on the Korean web novel by Chugong, Solo Leveling takes place in a world where supernatural beings called hunters are tasked with protecting the world from otherworldly threats. Jinwoo, renowned as the weakest hunter among them, was given the chance to survive after miraculously surviving a deadly monster attack. A mysterious program called the System chose Jinwoo as its “player,” granting him the ability to upgrade his skills infinitely at an increasingly faster rate. With his newfound power, Jinwoo is determined to find out why he was chosen by exploring the dungeon that started it all.

The 2024 anime adaptation is produced by A-1 Pictures, best known for Sword Art Online, Blue Exorcist, and Fairy Tail. A live-action Korean drama Solo Leveling is also in the works.
