Kodoani.com – Comic series adapted from novels The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System (original title: Tsuihō Sareta Tensei Jū Kishi wa Game Chishiki de Musō Suru) by Brocco Lee has been officially confirmed to be getting a television anime adaptation. This information was announced in the manga's 11th volume on Thursday. In particular, this anime will adapt Brocco Lee's manga version.
Studio GoHands will be in charge of producing the anime project. The production staff has launched the anime's official website, released the first promotional video and a key visual for the project. At the same time, the manga will be transferred from Kodansha's Yanmaga online platform to Young Magazine, starting with issue 41 on September 9.
Author Brocco Lee and artist Jaian – who illustrated the original light novel – celebrated the anime announcement by sharing special illustrations.
Kodansha is releasing an English manga version through the K MANGA service and has described the plot as follows:
“You useless thing, the son of the Holy Sword, how can you use such a defective class!?”
Elma, a descendant of the Holy Sword lineage, was given the Heavy Knight class during the Divine Blessing Ceremony – a class that is generally considered weak and cowardly. He was stripped of his position as heir and exiled. However, Elma knows clearly that this class is actually the strongest class in this world, which is based on a game he played in his previous life. Thanks to his knowledge, Elma begins a new journey in the reincarnated world.
Nekoko's light novel series, illustrated by Jaian, began serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2021, while Brocco Lee launched a manga adaptation on Yanmaga in February 2022. Kodansha has released three volumes of the novels, with the most recent volume launching in February of this year.
Additionally, Seven Seas Entertainment also publishes other Nekoko light novel series such as Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling and Disciple of the Lich, along with a manga adaptation of Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling by RIO.
