When Will draws his special sword, Overeater, Valacirca must change his game plan to keep himself safe.
The heralds of Stagnate and Gracefeel rush into battle to save Will as Valacirca attacks him with fiery dragon breath. The conversation between them was funny. Will is teased by Valacirca about being a “nymph seducer”, causing Gus to constantly wonder about his love life. Despite her voice, Stagnate is still a goddess, surprising Will but she explains that gods can be anything they want.
The story adds a humorous twist when Stagnate tries to make Grace jealous. Although the two are enemies, Stagnate seems to have feelings for Will. Although she did not give Will her blessing, she summoned immortal dwarven warriors who died in battle to aid him.
When Vindalfr defeated Scarabaeus, Blaze, the God of Fire, protected him. Aurvangr, a god, speaks to them, hinting that the next sword, Calldawn, may be even better than Overeater.

This raises the question of what will happen to those whose souls were touched by Gracefeel after the dragon’s attack. During the fight, Valacirca confirmed his victory. When Will draws the Overeaters, he reveals that he can use magic to kill them at any time. He’s just enjoying the challenge of facing Will and his team.
Valacirca explains that if it were a practice match or a tournament, he might even let Will win because he fought that well. However, this is a fight to the death and once Will uses Overeater, Valacirca will not hold back. If Gracefeel’s messenger had not intervened, Valacirca could have killed Will right then and there. Despite her help, Will doesn’t seem to have a chance.
This episode reveals that Valacirca has been toying with them the whole time, thanks to her sudden appearance, the resurrection of dead dwarven warriors, and the power of Gracefeel. He loves a challenge and lets the group attack just to see what they will try next. It’s not because he believes they can’t hurt him – it’s just that he’s confident in himself.
He is an arrogant fighting enthusiast, but he is backed by real strength. The charm of Will, dubbed the “lady killer” by Valacirca, is said to be the reason the group survives.
