Song Album Kessoku Band”the first album by the anime band Kessoku Band BOCCHI THE ROCK!, has achieved “platinum” certification for shipping more than 250,000 copies. With that, NMB48's 29th single “Does this mean anything?” and King & Prince's 15th single “halfmoon/moooove!!” also achieved the same certification.
This album contains 14 songs, released in Japan on December 28, 2022. Immediately after its release, it rose to No. 1 on the weekly album charts of Oricon, Billboard JAPAN, and iTunes in Japan. Previously, in February 2023, the album received a “gold” certification when it released more than 100,000 copies. This means the album sold an additional 150,000 copies in just 15 months, even after the TV anime ended its broadcast.
BOCCHI THE ROCK! is an anime adaptation of the four-panel manga of Kagiri Araido and aired 12 episodes from October to December 2022. The anime tells the story of Hitori Gotohnickname “Bocchi-chan”an introverted and timid girl, meets and joins a band Band with Nijika Ijichithe group's drummer.
