Kodoani.com – Website of the light novel anime adaptation Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest (Fugūshoku [Kanteishi] ga Jitsu wa Saikyō Datta – Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyō no [Shingan] de Musō Suru), created by author Ibarakino and artist Yu Hitaki, revealed its key visuals, main staff, additional cast, and first promotional video on Tuesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 9 on Tokyo MX, BS11, and ABEMA streaming service in Japan.

Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the manga adaptation by Morohoshi Fuji and describes the story as follows:
In a world where everyone is given a “job” by God from birth, only heroes are born worthy of this title. However, Ein, who was given the job of “Appraiser,” was always considered weak and useless, exploited and abandoned by his teammates. Because of everyone's contempt, Ein once thought about giving up his life of adventure. But when he stands on the brink, he discovers that his “worthless job” may be the key to becoming a true hero.
Publishing history
Ibarakino's novel series was released on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in December 2019. Kodansha published the light novel with illustrations by Hitaki in September 2020 and released the third volume on July 2. Morohoshi Fuji launched a manga adaptation of the series in July 2020 on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app. The manga's 13th volume is scheduled to premiere on November 8.
