This special story chapter, titled “Ueki no Housoku – Exhibition” (The Law of Ueki – Exhibition), will appear in the magazine's next issue on the day December 4marking the return of the work after 16 years. This is also part of a series of commemorative events 65 years of establishment of the magazine. The new chapter will have a colored opening page, creating a special highlight for this event.
Author Tsubasa Fukuchi shared the joy with fans by posting an announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) account, arousing excitement among the manga-loving community.
The Law of Uekioriginally posted on Weekly Shonen Sunday from 2001 to 2004, follows Ueki Kōsuke, a boy with the unique power of turning trash into plants, as he participates in challenging battles to protect the ideal of justice. Next part, The Law of Ueki Plusreleased from 2005 to 2007, continued the strong appeal of the series. This manga was Viz Media published in North America, and an anime series adaptation was also released by Geneon Entertainment and Funimationbecoming part of the beautiful memories of generations of fans.
Besides, Fukuchi recently released his work Golden Spiral on Weekly Shonen Sunday in April 2022, before moving to an online platform Sunday Webry in 2023. The manga ended in September 2023, with the eighth and final volume published in November 2023.
