Riot recently revealed some of their intentions for Grievous Wounds, as well as the recovery mechanism – a problem that has been a pain in the past season.
Recovery and the ability to create shields have become an extremely painful topic in the League of Legends community for a long time. Especially the generals like Irelia, Udyr, or the most terrifying can mention the Demon Sword Darkin Aatrox with a terrible amount of recovery that makes them immortal monsters. Fortunately, Riot does not want to let this situation last too long and is working hard to find solutions to make the recovery mechanism less overwhelming.
In the video sharing about the plan for the upcoming changes of League of Legends in the 2023 season, Riot design director Phroxzon announced that the upcoming plan will target strong Tank champions in the past like Dr. Mundo, Rammus or the new item Jak’Sho, Adaptive Cover.
Phroxzon also added that Riot is working to change the champions that have benefited a lot from the faulty healing mechanism in the past, especially after changing the resistance stats as well as the Serpent Ax. This also means that we should soon see small changes coming to the Grave Wound item system.
Currently, the best equipment can only give you a Grievous Wound effect that reduces the enemy’s healing by 40%. But in the future, Riot is considering increasing this effect against champions with strong healing abilities. At the same time, it also makes the equipment in the Grievous Wound group stronger, thereby being used more in the match.
Hopefully, Riot’s upcoming tests will bring better results to limit the confusing “weight 3, 4” situations when champions like Aatrox, Irelia and even Udyr have the ability to recover. too horrible. The 2023 season will see many new changes and Riot will soon give more details about their changes to the Grievous item team.
