Katsuyuki Konishi, Junichi Suwabe, Ikue Ōtani join anime to premiere on October 1
Kodoani.om – Production team for the anime adaptation of the manga “Dekoboko Majo no Oyako JijōPiroya’s ” (The Family Circumstances of the Imbalance Witch) officially unveiled a major promotional video on Friday. The video introduces more of the cast and features the ending theme song “Welcome!” by the band Angela.
The new cast includes:
Katsuyuki Konishi as Pond, who is Lyra’s wife and runs a second-hand shop. Junichi Suwabe as Auri, Alissa’s father. Ikue Ōtani voices Doku-Koala, a mysterious creature.
“Movie Dad” focuses on the character Alissa, a witch who lives alone in the forest. One day, she found a baby and named it Viola. Alissa raised Viola for 16 years, but Viola developed far beyond Alissa’s imagination. The comedy focuses on the relationship between parents and children, where appearances can deceive people about who is the parent and who is the child.
Among the film’s cast, Nana Mizuki voices the character Viola, while Aoi Koga takes on the role of Alissa. Other cast members include:
Takaya Hashi voices the Phoenix. Romi Park voices Lyra. You Taichi voices Giriko. Akira Sekine voices Luna. Takayuki Kondō voices fennel. Daisuke Ono voices Grinde. Kana Hanazawa is the narrator’s voice.
The anime is directed by Masahiro Takata, who worked on works such as “Libra of Nil Admirari” and “High-Rise Invasion.” GyroKnuckle wrote the film’s script and Miwa Yoshida handled the character designs.
Other roles on the production team include Risa Arai as prop designer and Risa Nakamura as colorist. Masaaki Kawaguchi is the art director and Masato Makino is the visual composition director. Masaki Utsunomiya (from Zero-G) takes on the role of editor. Musician myu will compose the soundtrack.
The anime’s main voice actress, Nana Mizuki, will perform the opening theme song titled “Sugar Doughnuts.”
The “drama” is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX on October 1 at 10:00 p.m. (9:00 a.m. EDT), and will also air on BS Fuji and AT-X.
Manga “Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijō” by Piroya debuted on Flex Comix Inc.’s Comic Meteor website in July 2019.
