Pharmacy diary is a light novel series written by Hyuga Hyuga, with illustrations by Touko Shino. The light novel began serialization on August 29, 2014 and continues to release issues. This long-running series has been adapted into an anime television series in October 2023. The film is about an apothecary named Maomao who works at the Imperial Palace after she is sold as a servant.
