Side story manga of the novel Reincarnated as a Sword to be released in 2020
Kodoani.com – Amazon and Honya Club retailers are listing the manga’s sixth volume Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Wish (Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita: Another Wish) by Hinako Inoue – spinoff of the novel series Reincarnated as a Sword (Tensei Shitara) by Yuu Tanaka and LLO Ken Deshita that the series will be the final volume. This volume will ship on March 31st.
Inoue launched the spinoff manga in Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride web manga magazine in June 2020. Micro Magazine published the manga’s fifth compiled book volume in September 2022.
The manga’s third volume will ship on February 21. Seven Seas describes the manga’s story:
Reincarnated as a sentient weapon with memories of his past life, but not his name, a magical sword that saved a young female beast from a life of slavery. Fran, the cat-eared girl, has become his master, and only wants to become stronger, while the sword wants to know why he is here. Follow their new adventures in this sub-manga series!
Tanaka launched the original novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narou website in October 2015, and Gentosha began publishing the series with illustrations by LLO in April 2017. Tomowo Maruyama launched a manga adaptation of the novel. Gentosha’s Denshi Birz website in December 2016. Volume 14 of the novel and volume 12 of the manga adaptation were compiled in September 2022.
Volume 12 of the novel will ship on May 16, and volume 10 of the manga will ship on April 25.
The television anime of the main light novel series premiered on Tokyo MX on October 5. The anime is having a second season.
