Director Shōta Ihata, main screenwriter Wataru Watari, studio Diomedéa returns
Kodoani.com – The official website for the anime adaptation of Yuka Tachibana and Yasuyuki Syuri’s light novels is The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent (Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannō Desu) revealed on Thursday that the anime will get a second season. Shōta Ihata is again directing the anime at diomedea, and Wataru Watari will return to oversee the series’ script.
Sei, a 20-year-old office worker, is transported to a whole new world. Unfortunately for Sei, the ritual summoning her – meant to create a “Saint” who would banish dark magic – brought two people instead of one. And people prefer the second girl over Sei?! But this is all fine by Sei, who leaves the royal palace to set up shop for making medicine and cosmetics using his new found magic. Business is booming, and this isn’t such a bad life anyway… as long as her supposed Saint doesn’t come back to haunt her.
The first season premiered in April 2021.
Tachibana launched the novel on the website “Shōsetsuka ni Narou” in 2016. Kadokawa published the first volume in February 2017, with illustrations by Yasuyuki Syuri. A manga adaptation by Fujiazuki launched in Comic Walker as part of Kadokawa’s “Flos Comic” website in July 2017.
