WARNING: SPOILERS FOR A PIECE OF EGG ISLAND
Summary
The Seraphim introduced in the Egghead Island arc are one of the most powerful living weapons in One Piece. The anime has the opportunity to showcase the Seraphim's power more effectively than the manga. One Piece's anime could improve how fans perceive Seraphim by expanding on key battles and character interactions that the manga left out.
Dr.Vegapunk may have created A piece‘S The strongest living weapon with Seraphim, but Egghead Island's controversial pacing didn't make them scary enough, something the anime could and did improve on. When he first appeared, the Pacifista presented a terrible challenge to Luffy and the Pirate World. Now that One Piece is about to reach its final seasons, the Seraphim are being introduced as the series' “Strongest form of humanity” and a much more significant threat, even if the manga has done a poor job of proving that .
After Wano ended, many fans weren't sure the sequel could measure up to its predecessor, which saw the defeat of two powerful Sea Emperors and the awakening of the mythical Sun God Devil Fruit. Luffy's. The fear quickly dissipates after the Egghead Island arc takes little time to introduce terrifying new threats, surprises to plot points that have been around for years, and Dr. Vegapunk's seemingly unstoppable Seraphim collection.
Seraphim are one of the most persistent and powerful threats One Piece has ever posed. After the Seven Lords were disbanded, the position of supreme enforcer of the World Government was quickly filled by Dr.Vegapunks Seraphim. Technically, they're clones of the recently released first series of prominent One Piece villains, Warlords of the Sea, but they're much more than that. The The manga's extreme pacing could have done a better job of giving Seraphim time to shine to make them scarier, something the anime has the perfect opportunity to fix and to some extent already has.
Seraphim are among the most powerful creatures in the world
The One Piece manga has introduced seven Seraphim so far
The world of One Piece may contain Ancient Weapons said to be capable of mass destruction, but the world's most brilliant man has created his ultimate group of living weapons with a deadly combination person between science and magic Devil Fruit. The Seraphim gained their extremely durable bodies by manipulating and copying aspects of the nearly invulnerable Lunarian race, a race that even Zoro would have had difficulty severing. The DNA of previous Warlords and the great customization of their Devil Fruit powers make the Seraphim nearly unstoppable to 99% of the planet's population.
The Egghead Island arc provided several scenes with the Seraphim in action against powerful pirates known around the world for their destructive abilities. Characters like Blackbeard and Zoro have clashed with Dr.Vegapunk's ultimate life forms, but because there are so many important and fast-moving storylines in this installment, those spirited battles are extremely brief.. And things only get worse with certain struggles between fan-favorite characters happening off-screen in the manga.
The most powerful forms of humanity should no longer be shown off-screen
The egg-head battle was omitted from One Piece that left Robin and Kaku injured
According to the hierarchy of those who can control the Seraphim, Dr.Vegapunk and his satellites are higher in power than the CP-0 agents but lower than the rulers of the One Piece world, the Five Elders. Since there are no Elders on Egghead Island, nearly everyone is caught off guard when terrifying creatures begin attacking the heroes. While some of their brief battles are shown in the manga, a jarring leap occurs in chapter #1089. skips the battle that saw the Straw Hats and CP-0 subdue the Seraphim and defeat the traitor Egghead.
A large amount of One Piece's story develops in the Egghead arc away from the official island. Kid's battle against Shanks, Garp's rescue of Coby, and the true events of The Reverie between Imu and Sabo all begin to unfold after Luffy and Lucci's forces begin fighting the Seraphim. While each of those moments is certainly thrilling to watch, the anime has a chance to fill in those gaps by shows how York and Seraphim were most highly regarded.
One Piece's anime has improved upon the previous manga and could do so again
The Blackbeard Pirates' attack on Whole Cake Island is almost absent from the Manga
Battle royale is the best way to describe how the chaos on Egghead Island developed. The heartbreaking emotions and tense confrontations involving the backstories of Kuma and Bonnie, the Five Elders, the Marines, and Dr. Vegapunk's creations keep the series interesting round after round Wano palace is extremely interesting. There's no shortage of large-scale battles in the arc that many anime fans are waiting for an adaptation of, but One Piece's anime has the opportunity to show off more battles that the manga doesn't.
Previous One Piece anime-only scenes have done a phenomenal job of showing fans events that the manga barely touched on, often with incredible animation and direction. A recent example is the cold defeat of Big Mom's son, Charlotte Cracker, and the kidnapping of Poneglyph-reading Charlotte Pudding. The original footage shows off the terrifying synergy of the Blackbeard PiratesVan Augur and former Ice Admiral Kuzan as they destroy Cracker's Tough Cookie soldiers and freeze entire cities to get what they want.
The haunting confrontation between Kuzan and Cracker is barely mentioned in the manga's cover stories, what with the reclamation of Egghead Island not even being mentioned. However, the anime adaptation of the Egghead arc surprised fans with extended scenes such as Gear 5 Luffy vs. Awakened Lucci and Seraphim's first attack against Punk Records. The incredible preview posted on One Piece's YouTube channel for episode #1109 hinted at that The next battle against Seraphim S-Hawk and S-Bear could once again surpass what was in the manga.
Seraphim are about to become scarier than ever
One Piece anime could change the way fans view Seraphim
With so much going on in the Egghead Island arc, it's understandable Eiichiro Oda didn't spend more time demonstrating just how terrifying the Seraphim can be.. Thankfully, the One Piece anime has the benefit of hindsight from the events of the manga and can devote resources and planning to filling in interesting moments more thoroughly. Judging by the preview of episode #1109, the team-up between Luffy, Zoro, Kaku and Lucci against Seraphim based on Hawkeye and Kuma will receive more attention thanks to some of the most talented animators working at Toei.
Additional time and resources spent animating moments like Luffy vs. Lucci and the upcoming clash with Dr. Vegapunk's so-called “Strongest Form of Humanity” could have helped build excitement and excited for the manga. Many fans may want to see more extended fight scenes rather than hastily cut flashbacks. Creating flashy fight scenes takes more effort than some viewers realize, but A piece's anime has the opportunity to improve the way fans look at Seraphim and include off-screen battles to show off how far the heroes have come.
