The game based on Ken Wakui’s manga was previously scheduled for release in February 2024
Kodoani.com – JVC Kenwood and Victor Entertainment announced on Twitter on Thursday that the game Tokyo Revengers Last Mission for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android and PC via DMM Games will be delayed to an undetermined date in 2024.
The game was initially expected to launch in winter 2023, but was later delayed to February 2024. Pre-registrations were opened for the iOS, Android, and DMM Games versions.
The game will be released for free with in-game purchases and will tackle the main time loop story of Ken Wakui’s original manga.
Wakui launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2017 and ended it in November 2022. Weekly Shōnen Magazine is currently serializing the spin-off manga Tokyo Revengers Extra about the founders of the Tokyo Manji gang.
Publisher Kodansha USA is releasing the manga in English and describes the story as follows:
When he heard that Hinata Tachibana, his girlfriend since middle school, had passed away, Takemichi Hanagaki was shocked. Hinata was killed by a group of thugs called the Tokyo Manji Gang. The guy lives in a shabby apartment and is treated poorly by a boss who is younger than him. Unexpectedly, he time jumps back to his high school. To save Hinata and change his fate, Takemichi, a hopeless part-timer, must aim to become the head of Kanto’s most sinister crime gang.
