Kodoani.com – Main website for anime television series adapted from manga “A Girl & Her Guard Dog” (Ojō to Banken-kun) by author Hatsuharu began posting a promotional video ahead of the anime premiere. The trailer revealed the anime’s ending song titled “Magie×Magie” performed by Kitō.
The anime is scheduled to premiere Thursday on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV and BS Asahi channels. The anime’s production team initially announced that the film would premiere in October. The first two episodes of the anime were previewed in Japan on September 3 at the United Cinemas Toyosu theater in Tokyo.
Manga “A Girl & Her Guard Dog” tells the story of Isaku, a girl who never wanted to become the daughter of a yakuza boss. However, after the death of her parents in a car accident when she was 5 years old, her yakuza grandfather took her in and raised her as a member of the family. After years of experiencing being avoided by his school friends due to family ties, Isaku finally decides to debut in high school and begin a normal life, even finding love… for until a loyal family servant and devoted guardian, 26-year-old Keiya, appears at the high school by her side. Keiya vows to protect her from everything. And now, she has to face an armor-wearing, pistol-wielding hero who runs the high school?
