Faries and Orcs respectively symbolize good luck and bad luck. They chased away the “Orcs” by throwing beans at it. Noble children brought all kinds of expensive and rare beans to throw at the Orcs. In fact, there are no orcs or fairies.
The teacher wears an Orc mask while the students throw beans at them. Since Marie is their teacher, she wears an Orc mask. However, Julius refused to let her become an Orc.
