The Worst Anime School For Students To Study And Study

in Anime

Anime is known for its diverse characters and settings — from cozy family settings to war-torn civilizations — but one of its more popular settings is academia. Regardless of genre or subject, many anime series take place in schools, colleges, or other educational institutions. These schools can be places of learning, growth, and friendship, but they can also be hotspots of drama, conflict, and intrigue.

In the anime world, many schools serve as the setting for exciting adventures and touching stories. Of course, other places are not ideal learning environments. From a school where matches often happen to a private academy where the best gamblers reign supreme, here are the worst anime schools to sign up for for academic purposes.

Beelzebub’s Ishiyama High School is all about fighting

Beelzebub focuses on freshman Tatsumi Oga, who dominates the entire Ishiyama High School, a school known for its delinquent student population where violence and anarchy are the norm. Oga is feared by everyone for being the most vicious boxer in school, and there’s a rule everyone knows: don’t mess with him. However, his life changes after he is forced to take care of a possible Demon Lord in the future: Kaiser de Emperana Beelzebub IV, or Baby Beel for short.

Ishiyama High School is overrun by violent and rebellious students. The main character of the series, Oga is known to be the strongest and most vicious fighter in school, and he often proves that title right. Fighting is part of his daily routine and he’s almost always on top. The school is also proud to be the residence of the “Four Kings”, the rulers of their territories. Add the literal existence of a demon to the mix, and Beelzebub’s Ishiyama High School isn’t a favorable place to learn anything other than fighting.

Prison school is as bad as its title suggests

At Hachimitsu Private Academy, a prestigious all-girls boarding school in Tokyo, the arrival of five male students causes a stir. The student group is currently divided into a ratio of 200 girls and one boy, and the boys must try to impress their female friends. Eager to connect with them, guys try to sneak peeks at girls in the tub.

However, their plan was foiled by the underground Student Council – and as punishment, they were sentenced to a month in the prestigious Prison School. The story follows the boys as they overcome difficult and often humorous experiences in prison, as well as the challenges they face in maintaining their friendship and brotherhood.

It can be argued that Hachimitsu Private Academy is a favorable place to study, and most are. The problem with it is its underground Student Council, but not because of its mission. Boards are known for their rather harsh punishments, and while the reasoning behind them is mostly valid, they also tend to go overboard – especially when it comes to male students. After all, Prison School takes sexism to its extreme. Plus, the fact that the degenerate protagonists are schoolmates can’t help learning.

Kill La Kill’s Honnoji Academy is pretty extreme

Kill La Kill tells the story of Ryuuko Matoi, who is searching for the person who murdered her father. Her search eventually leads her to Honnoji Academy, run by student council president Satsuki Kiryuuin and her subordinate, the Elite Four. Unfortunately for Ryuuko, she is immediately defeated by a student in Goku’s uniform and returns to her home, where she stumbles across sentient Senketsu. This gives Ryuuko the strength she is lacking. Now armed with sentient Kamui and a Scissor Blade, Ryuuko takes on the school’s strongest, hoping to eventually reach Satsuki and solve the mystery of her father’s death.

Honnoji Academy in the anime imposes extremely high standards on its students, and those who perform below expectations are actually considered farmers. Meanwhile, the outstanding ones are sent to war. The students are forced to improve themselves as much as possible and fight each other, while the student council president is a firm believer in the idea that only the strong survive.

In addition to the school’s already strict rules, the school also has a Trap Department. They ensure that No-Star students are either completely on time or will be expelled. The organization also creates hidden pitfalls and challenges to make life more difficult for students. Talk about overkill.

Only the best gamblers survive at Kakegurui’s Hyakkaou Academy

Kakegurui stars Yumeko Jabami, a new transfer student at Hyakkaou Private Academy. At first she seems like an innocent and pure girl, but that is far from the truth. She is truly a gambling maniac, the more excited she is, the greater the risk she faces. Unlike the other students, Yumeko is not motivated by winning but by the thrill of gambling. Despite this, she also enjoys gambling, allowing her to win most, if not all, of her games.

Hyakkaou Private Academy is a school unlike any other. During the day, it offers a traditional education in subjects such as history and languages. But at night, it turns into a casino, where students learn about money and how to manipulate others. Many of the students are children of the wealthy, and the games played at this academy determine social standing, with the winners sitting at the top of the school hierarchy. Therefore, it is not uncommon for students at Kakegurui to be completely taken down by their friends — simply because they lost a gamble.
