Faker's “miracle” situation
Before the second Semi-final of Worlds 2024, even the most optimistic and loyal T1 fan probably could not imagine that the result would be a clear victory for the home team. However, in one “ecstatic” day, T1 did what the players and fans of this team had been waiting for for a long time. In particular, Faker still had enough composure and coolness to bring out Akali to confront Chovy and win. In particular, Faker's solo kill against Chovy showed that Gen.G's Mid Laner completely lost to his senior in this match.
That was the situation at the end of game 3 and Faker had not had to lie down before and Chovy also used the very mobile champion Ahri. But with just an Hourglass and a proper combo, Faker shut down Chovy and completed his perfect solo kill. Perhaps Chovy himself did not expect that his only down situation in this match would mark Gen.G's defeat.
Faker knows how to shine, Chovy doesn't yet
In difficult times, Faker and his T1 teammates always make bold choices and Akali is one of them. This is the champion with the lowest winrate at Worlds 2024 and Faker himself is not stable when using this champion. However, in difficult situations, Faker knows how to shine with his forte champion.
Meanwhile, Chovy is completely helpless. Chovy's Ahri used to be very good, even in the last game, Chovy was able to use Tristana. But Chovy's Yordle general can do almost nothing but… push towers. It can be said that when Gen.G needed a pillar, the person they looked back at was Kiin or Canyon, not the player who should have performed the most important main role.
T1 won extremely convincingly. But for the match to go out of control, and then to suffer a bitter defeat in the 2024 Worlds Semifinals, Gen.G needs to blame itself and perhaps Chovy will be the player who regrets the most.
