Wakui seems to be building a solid reason behind Mikey’s dark impulses, and a lot more will be explained as well. But before jumping into the reveal, let’s sum up what the latest Chap has shown us.
This chapter begins after a time skip from the previous chapter, and the story is now narrated by Mikey. Now we’re looking at what happened in the summer of Mikey’s sixth grade. Draken visited Mikey’s house since they had plans together. However, Mikey asks him to wait because he hasn’t finished showering yet. This is when Emma ran downstairs carrying some boxes and other household items.
However, when she saw Draken standing at the door, she was a little scared. Draken asks if she’s Mikey’s sister. Then Emma introduced herself, and so did Draken. Emma relaxed as he helped her pack. So now we know how Emma and Draken first met.
While Emma and Draken were walking through the hallway, Mikey appeared and jokingly asked if they were making fun of him. Ignoring his comment, Draken told Emma he was going to put the boxes away and move on with Mikey. Afterwards, Draken told Mikey that they were going to meet Mitsuya, his sworn brother.
In the next scene, we see Baji, Pah-chin and Kazutora greeting Mitsuya. They all decided to officially form their own gang, Tokyo Manji. The following plaques show us how they became best friends and made so many happy memories.
The positive note ends when the story happens on the night when Kazutora and Baji accidentally kill Shinichiro. Because the story is from Mikey’s POV. We saw him visit Shinichiro on the same night. However, when he went to his brother’s bike shop, the police arrested Baji and Kazutora for the crime they had just committed. All Baji could tell him was he was sorry.
Continuing from this scenario, we see the Sano family gather around Shinichiro’s hospital bed as they try to keep themselves together. Mikey begs his brother to wake up and tells him it was just a joke; however, he never wakes up. We see Mikey going through his grief in the hospital toilet because he hates crying in front of anyone. This is similar to him losing his mother again.
The story moves quickly when Mikey announces his intention to recruit more criminals and turn Toman into the top gang in Japan. The others tried to oppose his decision, except Draken. He sided with Mikey, thinking it would distract him from the tragic events of his life and fill his heart.
After that, we will see how Toman grows with the introduction of prominent characters such as Angry, Smiley, Chifuyu, Shiba, Ryuuhei and Mutou. Mikey shows ambition to take over the world and make Toman the number one of the gang.
However, Mikey recounts that everything changed the day the two men who changed his fate appeared. The console shows Takemichi and Kisaki when the Chapter ends.
Tokyo Revengers Chap 265 Spoiler
The incidents in the latest Chapter are not something we don’t know yet. What we don’t know, however, is how Mikey dealt with them and how much it affected him. Wakui’s ability to connect so many emotions of different characters is commendable.
In addition, this Chapter serves as the main construction for the next Chapter. We’ve received many hints that the next Chapter will have some big reveal about the time jumpers or what Mikey is hiding. We will also receive a colored cover which means the Chap will be a big Chap.
The latest chapter includes a lot of small details about the main cast and how they met. We’ve seen how Mikey changes over time and how everyone else shapes their relationships. The loss of a family member really put Mikey in a difficult situation. However, we still don’t know exactly when he developed his dark impulses and how Sanzu knows everything about it.
We also don’t get why Mikey thinks Takemichi and Kisaki are the two people who changed his fate. This shows that there’s a lot between Mikey and Kisaki that we don’t know. Looks like the next chapter might reveal that.
Another detail to notice here is that Mikey doesn’t mention Sanzu much even though he is one of his childhood friends. We know very little about what happened between them. This is an important detail as it can affect the entire current timeline.
However, we have a bit of time before the reveal of Tokyo Revengers Chap 265 give us a brief overview of it.
