Kodoani.com – Flex Comix announced on Thursday that the manga “Tono to Inu” (The Lord and the Dog) by Rie Nishida will be adapted into an anime. Nishida shared an illustration to celebrate the announcement.
The manga focuses on a fearsome samurai who once caused fear on the battlefield with his excellent skills. However, after his clan was destroyed, he lived a peaceful and humble life. His terrifying face is the only evidence of his warrior past. One day, he met a curious corgi dog and he immediately took him to live with him, starting a new life.
Nishida launched the manga on Flex Comix’s Comic Polaris service in March 2021. The second volume was published in May 2023, and the third volume is expected to premiere on February 15 The anime adaptation will provide the opportunity for audiences to experience this compelling story through the medium of animated television.
