Trigun Stampede is based on the manga of the same name by Yasuhiro Nightow. The manga began serialization in 1995 in Tokuma Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Captain magazine. But it only ran until 1997. However, being the popular manga of the 90s, it returned in 1997 with Trigun Maximum in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine. Dark Horse Comics later released the manga in English.

Trigun Stampede Episode 1: Official Announcement

In November 2022, Crunchyroll announced that they will be holding a premiere Trigun Stampede Episode 1 at Anime NYC. The official website previously reported that staff from the anime CG Studio Orange will be participating in the premiere of the first episode, including EP Yoshihiro Watanabe and executive producer Waki ​​Kiyotaka. Crunchyroll has rolled out the first trailer for Trigun Stampede, and it dives into the impending battle. The story opens with a massive fire that leads to the destruction of the planet. A young woman seemingly petrified and pushed two boys inside an airplane. A boy named Vash refused to leave her alone. But she forces him to protect herself and her brother Nai. However, neither of the boys wanted to leave her side, but they had no other choice, and in the end, their spacecraft left the planet.

Soon after, the trailer shifts to the future, where Vash has grown up and still remembers his traumatic past. However, he is currently the most wanted man on this new planet. The intergalactic team is behind him. But he finds a way to trick them into following his heart. But there’s something he’s hiding from everyone. Vash’s brother is gone, but the trailer reveals an impending battle between Vash and Nai, as Nai becomes infected after losing his mother.
