Kodoani.com – Aniplex of America announced that the English version of “Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon“, a remake of the popular visual novel game Tsukihime by Type-Moon, will launch in summer 2024. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Switch.
The game previously aired an English promotional video, introducing the opening and giving fans a taste of the upcoming localized experience.
Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon- launched in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Switch in August 2021 and quickly reached 300,000 sales as of January this year.
The game’s voice cast includes Ryōsuke Kanemoto as Shiki Tohno, Ikumi Hasegawa as Arcueid Brunestud, Kaede Hondo as Ciel, Shino Shimoji as Akiha Tohno, Yūki Kuwahara as Kohaku, and Kana Ichinose as Hisui. New characters include Ai Kayano as Noel and Ayane Sakura as Mario Gallo Bestino.
Author Kinoko Nasu and character designer Takashi Takeuchi returned to work on the remake’s script and character designs. ReoNa performed the songs “Seimeisen” (Lifeline) and “Juvenile” for the game, in collaboration with Sacra Music and ufotable.
Tsukihime is one of Type-Moon’s famous works, first appearing at Winter Comic Market in 2000.
The story revolves around Shiki Tohno, a boy with the ability to see “lines,” which can destroy or kill anything. The game takes players into a world full of conspiracy and secrets involving the powerful vampire Arcueid and the dark secrets of a group of school friends.
Previously, Aniplex successfully released the English version of Type-Moon’s game “Mahōtsukai no Yoru” (Witch on the Holy Night) in December 2022.
