Ultra 3 Major Manga Awards evaluates participating talents in 3 categories
Kodoani.com – Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine has announced the organization of a new Manga Award titled “The Ultra 3 Major Manga Awards” on January 18.
This contest will be divided into three prize categories:
The manga grand prize: For the best comic of any length or subject.
The battle grand prize: Focus on manga with the best fighting themes.
The drawing grand prize: Based on four pages of the manuscript, this award honors the manga with the best art.
The application deadline for the manga grand prize is February 10, the battle grand prize deadline is April 10, and the drawing grand prize deadline is February 10.
The jury for the grand manga award will include Hirohiko Araki (creator of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), Hiroshi Shiibashi (artist of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan), Nakaba Suzuki (artist of The Seven Deadly Sins), and Yū Sasuga (Terra Formars writer).
In addition, the magazine will also hold an Ultra Diamond Manga artist audition to search for new talent, focusing on finding authors rather than introducing stories. Entries can be new, previously published, previously rejected advertising, and even commercial work.
This contest provides an opportunity for new authors and artists to be recognized and showcase their talent in the manga industry.
