Kodoani.com – Developer Unknown X announced during the Touhou presentation “Dankagu Shin’nen-kai” that they will release a tabletop adventure RPG titled “Marisa of Liartop Mountain” and release for PC via Steam in 2024. The company shared an announcement trailer and also announced a trailer for the game “Touhou Dungeon Maker – The Labyrinth of Heart”.
“Marisa of Liartop Mountain” is described as follows:
Marisa has disappeared and a mysterious mountain has appeared! Players will control Reimu through unexpected peaks and valleys, embarking on a journey that resembles classic tabletop RPGs. In the branching narrative adventure, players will use dice to decide their fate, face monsters, and follow the story through different paths.
“Marisa of Liartop Mountain” is expected to release on PC via Steam on February 7 and on Nintendo Switch at a date to be announced.
Additionally, Unknown X announced plans to collaborate with Undertale’s Toby Fox to create a remix of the song “UN Owen Was Hero?” in the updated and expanded version of the mobile game “Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia”. Fox collaborated with Touhou creator ZUN to create this remix.
In addition, the game “Touhou Dungeon Maker – The Labyrinth of Heart” will be released in 2024 and has the following content:
Mysterious dungeons filled with ghosts have appeared across Gensokyo, threatening to devour the surface world. Players will control six Touhou heroines including Reisen Udongein Inaba, Satori Komeiji and Hatano Kokoro to fight off 100 waves of ghosts. The mission is to create the perfect dungeons to defeat the ghosts and upgrade the strength of the characters with each survival. Players will also search for souvenirs to find out the secret behind Gensokyo’s haunting.
These new remixes and updates mark the expansion and development of the Touhou game series, promising to bring new and exciting experiences to players.
