Anime Kaiju No. 8 is continuing the visual teaser series with a new addition in February 2024. The new visuals feature Division members in action:
The anime adaptation is expected to premiere this April. Production IG is producing the animation with Tomomi Kamiya and Shigeyuki Miya as directors. Ichiro Okuchi is in charge of compiling the series. Tetsuya Nishio is the character designer, while Mahiro Maeda and Khara Studio are signing off on creature designs.

Kaiju anime #8 will adapt Naoya Matsumoto’s manga, which began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and has since been collected into 10 volumes. Viz Media has licensed it in English in North America, and eight volumes have been published to date, with a ninth set for release in January 2024. The series was originally licensed as Monster #8 in English, but the name was later changed back to Kaiju No. 8.
The plot of the anime, whose first trailer was revealed earlier this year, is described as: In a world plagued by menacing creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino wishes to join the Air Force. defend Japan to defeat them. “Let us destroy the Kaiju together.”Kafka pledged to his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Over time, life circumstances forced them to go their separate ways and caused him to give up his lifelong ambition. He is employed by Monster Sweeper, Inc., a professional cleaning company that specializes in cleaning up the aftermath of Kaiju battles. Meanwhile, Mina Ashiro is currently the Captain of the Self-Defense Forces’ 3rd Division. Right now, he wasn’t worthy of fighting the Kaiju alongside her. At work, Kafka comes across the highly motivated Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s undying determination to join the Self-Defense Forces leaves no room for failure. His perseverance awakens Kafka’s ambition to stand alongside Mina as they protect humanity from the Kaiju together. A dream frozen in time, thawed by a burning promise But Kafka doesn’t know that an impending Kaiju threat is suddenly approaching him.
Kaiju anime #8 will air on Crunchyroll and Twitter/X. This will be the first anime to be streamed on the social media platform.
