Former CS:GO player ‘Shroud’ suddenly joined the Sentinels, officially returning to the professional arena in the Valorant game.
Former CS:GO player Michael “shroud” Grzesiek has unexpectedly joined the Sentinels Valorant roster. This information was confirmed by the official Twitter page of Sentinels not long ago.
Accordingly, Shroud will replace Hunter ‘SicK’ Mims, a member who is taking a break from playing due to psychological problems. Sharing with fans, Shroud said that the reason he returned to playing professionally was because he still wanted the feeling of being on stage, wanting to find the feeling again.
Through a short video shared on Sentinels’ Twitter page, Shroud added: “The reason I joined Sentinels is because Sentinels has a similar gameplay to the old team that I played in CS:GO.”
As soon as the information about joining the Valorant team of Sentinels was posted, Shroud received many questions, the most of which was “Is it worth trying?”. Shroud said it was really worth a try, he wanted to go back to being his old self. Now that he is at the training ground of the team, this will be a good opportunity for him to improve and catch up with his teammates faster.
Shroud also shared with Valorant fans, he will play the Controller position on almost all maps. However, there will be a few changes in some other maps to change tactics.
So with the presence of Shroud, the full squad of the current Valorant Sentinels team includes:
Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan
Eric “Kanpeki” Xu
Tyson “TenZ” Ngo
Michael “shroud” Grzesiek
Michael “according to” Gulino
Hunter “SicK” Mims (Pause)
Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty (Head coach)
Shroud and his teammates at Sentinels will have a month to practice and catch up together before the VCT Last Chance Qualifier tournament kicks off in August. Hopefully both Shroud as well as the Sentinels team will perform well this season.
