According to statistics from an American media company, Riot’s FPS game – Valorant is at the top of the list for the “toxic” of gamers aged 10-17.
Since its launch in 2020, Valorant has received the attention of countless gamers around the world. In just a short time of building and developing Valorant’s Esports system, Riot Games has created a huge community as well as Valorant tournaments. The most obvious example is Valorant’s “Esports Game of the Year” award at the Esports Awards 2022.
Such a strong development, but Valorant was identified as “the most toxic game” by MSNBC – a cable channel and media company in the US.
Valorant is at the top of a ranking that is not to be proud of.
More specifically, according to statistics by MSNBC, Valorant ranks first in the ranking of “harassment of 10-17 year olds on video games”. With a rate of 80%, this means that for every 10 matches, there will be 8 games with “toxic” gamers (aged 10-17).
In the positions below are quite famous games like Dota 2, Fortnite, Destiny 2, PUBG, WoW, CoD, etc.
In addition, MSNBC also provides statistics on “experienced people” who report that they have been harassed while playing video games. Of those, 77% are adults, 66% are 13-17 years old and 60% are 10-12 years old.
Of course, there are also some gamers wondering why there is no League of Legends on this list. Because in terms of “toxic”, League of Legends has also featured in many international charts in the past. So a gamer gave his opinion, he said that most of the current League of Legends gamers are over 17 years old, that’s why the “eldest son” of Riot Games is not on MSNBC’s list.
One gamer said that the average age of League of Legends gamers is between 20-25 years old.
